Hello Everyone~
I wanted one of my birds back. I asked my ex for her. He said OK, if I found a bird for Mongo, who lost his lifelong partner in March and is still very sad. I found one within days, just the same kind as Mongo is. Her name is Ponchita. (Ponchita was Poncho, then she had an egg, so she became Ponchita. She was taken care of by a little old lady (93!) who died.)
I arranged for her to be brought here. All was well. I emailed my ex so we could arrange a swap. Then he decides NOT to do it after all. I think he's going for asshole of the year.
On the bright side, I now have a new, sweet, beautiful Sun Conure! She sure is fun, and reminds me a lot of my Dwarf Conure Daisy, who longer lives here with me either. If you click on my pics, you can see photos of most of them. It's so hard to get a good pic of them because most of them hate a camera in their face. I'll keep trying.

Many of the birds I rescue come in hurt, sick, or just plain freaked out and crazy from abuse or neglect. This one is super sweet and in great shape. She's been a nice addition so far. Her old cage was dirty and broken, and not the right bars for a Conure. She now has a new cage and new toys and seems to be having a great time with the other birds
