It's been far far too long since I updated. Terrible!
In fairness nothing's really happened, I got screwed over by a client, bought too many books in an awkward (and mildly successful) attempt to flirt with a cashier, I went to that burlesque show and I've been shopping a few times.
Still no holiday pictures, but I think miss lion-face is meant to be sending them to me today.
We went for a meal yesterday, it was potentially the most awkward thing ever - eight of us, me sitting next to my ex (we were together for three years) and him sitting opposite his girlfriend (my friend, they started dating a few weeks after we split up) but actually it was alright. The food was good and the pub had a pretty nice atmosphere and we left before the creepy karaoke guy had finished setting up, thank god.
Everyone's going back to uni soon, it's really odd. Kay and Dan are still living around here though so I won't be so much on my own as I have been before.
I think I have a cold.

ps the food diary has been very much neglected, needless to say that I've been baking a lot so it's mainly been cakes ahoy. It'll be back in my next blog xx

Mine's the same, it was my mum's and sort of became mine by default. Older than me too. It's horrible trying to replace it, because you get used to its idiosyncratic little ways, like the way it would sometimes go mad winding the bobbin and you'd spend the next hour trying to cut it out of a web of thread. Kinda like trying to find a new boyfriend just after a breakup, but it's difficult because you were so comfortable with the old one. Anyway, I'll stop waxing lyrical now, personifying a sewing machine is possibly a step too far... x

Clients can be the worst, I've learned to get 50% upfront, never works any other way.
