Back to uni, lots of new work to be getting on with. The boy is irritating me - as usual, isn't he always? The beginning of the week kinda miffed me off, the module that I had chosen (interpreting text, which was about magazine and editorial illustration) had been cancelled which means that I had to take my second choice (narrative sequence, about children's books and graphic novels - complete with a yummy competition for Macmillan) in which... I had to work with the boy. This happens often, mainly because he sits by me and we get grouped with the people who we sit by. I'd been ignoring his texts and calls for the past... well forever really, but the past week especially since I didn't see him once. I don't know why he hasn't got the idea yet, and it's got to the point where I'm barely even being civil to him. Beckie (who I was also working with thank GOD) said that if I spoke to her the way I spoke to him, then we definitely wouldn't be friends. I now have every single class with him, and it's not exactly my idea of fun.
The module's brilliant though, this week I have to practice planning for a twenty-four page book including manuscript, thumbnails and a full double page spread - they've given Cinderella to us as a practice which is fantastic, I'm so into fairy tales!
I've also got Political illustration to be getting on with... and John's asked us to make a mask for next week - I'm not really sure why but it seems like fun.
I'm averaging at a 2:1 at the moment I think - but I've not got all my results back yet. I'm really gonna have to push myself to get my grades a lot higher.
Apart from initial annoyances my week's been okay really, I met some American missionaries on my way home yesterday, they were pretty fun. I gave them a donation for... something, I can't really remember what, it seemed like a good cause at the time. But on Monday... I found the most amazing thing in the confectionary section of Selfridges, it's like the ultimate find for me, and something that I've been looking for since I was four years old. Marshmallows, with vegetarian ingredients, are awesome.
