This blog is brought to you from in front of a shiny new imac. I love it so much! The keyboard is taking a tiny bit of getting used to and I have no idea where the install cds are for my scanner/printer so... I can't strictly do any work, but leopard is amazing, and my monitor is oh-so shiny.
I'm having a sick day today, I've never had a day off from a lecture before, I feel really guilty in a way but I just couldn't face the train. My throat is sore, and my eyes are running, and my head is killing me... so I slept in till about 1.00pm and I've just been hanging around in my pjs like a slob.
I went Christmas shopping with my sister yesterday in Birmingham which was pretty good, but a little rushed... had a few boy-related dramas. In my creative writing lecture he kept leaning over me trying to see what I was writing which only makes me hold my pad up close to me and rush through my scribbles, and it annoys me. He keeps talking to me when the tutor is talking too, and KEEPS touching me, it's really irritating. I was meeting my sister in Urban Outfitters, and he walked me there which I wasn't a fan of, but when I got there and met up with le sister, he just... hung around, really not getting the hint. I mean, I'd gone shopping with Amber specifically, to do Christmas shopping and he wouldn't leave! After a while, when he was paying for a camera he wanted (and so was stuck at the till) I told him that we were going, and ran off, not-so-sneakily.
He keeps correcting me, too! Yesterday we had an argument about the definition of 'assault', then in a shop I'd mentioned that I'd never noticed that it had a lift to which he had a sarcastic comment... he keeps trying to to get one up on me and it's more than irritating. He video called me about five minutes after we'd left the shop (I don't like answering my phone in the city centre as it is, but at least with a regular call I can clamp the thing to my ear). Can't he leave me alone for two seconds??? It's like he can get at me anywhere he wants.
I did buy some cool stuff, though. I got some stocking presents and a really cool Hansel and Gretel set... thing for myself from muji which is awesome it's so cool! The background flips round so you can have an ordinary forest instead of the house. It's just cool, and all wooden which is adorable. I got a really beautiful green (low cut D
dress from Urban Outfitters and some stuff for my older sister. I've finally got my corset fabric now, too. Blue cotton and some pink for the trim - it's nicer than it sounds, although I may look like a cake.
ps, it is cool to do your hair/face up like the old days and make your photos sepia... right?
