I am so very very busy.
But I finished my commission which feels slightly incredible and I've gotten my money and I think I'm going to be doing some work for her again, not sure when but she sounded interested and I really enjoyed working for the lady who commissioned me.
What else? This fashion illustration project is going fairly well - I had to research and do a presentation about Ren Gruau which I'm surprised was really very refreshing. His work's very classic and iconic and a lot more traditional and 'high fashion' than I'd normally look like. It's really inspired me to go back to basics and work traditionally - I rarely take the time to do anything in paint and I've been experimenting in inks, gouache and acrylic (I've bought some beautiful pearlescent acrylic medium which I love) and it's made me consider my work a lot more. Gruau's really inspired me, though. He was so amazing at capturing atmosphere, expression, movement and that's something that I really struggle with and aspire to - I'm good at doing 'cute', 'odd' but I need to breathe more life into my work. I think this project is a really good start.
In other news: I'm ill again with another cold - ridiculous. I also had what you might call a slight argument with the boy - he's been acting quite like he's my boyfriend only without the physical stuff, and relying on and depending on me far too much. I'm not sure he realises he's doing it really. The argument arose because he touched my arse (I was wearing a frighteningly short skirt) and I reacted very, very badly. If he doesn't want me, then he shouldn't just act like stuff is normal. I wouldn't feel up one of my ordinary friends and I think it was inappropriate and very confusing for me. It has to be one thing or the other.
In other other news: I just saw James May sitting in his car, naked. Why would that have happened?? I do love Top Gear.
xx

Hmm... yeah it does sound like your ex is crossing the line, but at least you brought it up and didn't let it go unchecked. when things are so hazy it's good draw lines in the sand.
hope you're well
