so the @bloghomework is My absolute favorite place I have ever traveled is my brothers hometown, Del Rio, Texas. It started as a trip to Lawton Ok. NEVER take a bus from NY to Ok. That was the longest 4 days of my life. Yup 4 days and 6 buses to go from New York, NY to Lawton Ok. Worst ride ever. Drunk people, the smell of the clogged "bathroom" the snoring, the screaming children. But we made it to Lawton Oklahoma. After a week some how my mom ended up buying a Jeep. So on a whim one day she decided to road trip to her aunt in Texas. 8 hours of seeing Oklahoma and Texas. once we passed Houston and San Antonio, one horse town after another. We made it to Del Rio a town of 400 or so the sign said. The history in that little town is awesome. My mom grew up there so she gave up the tour. Which is funny since the town is so small it has a "Main Street" that is the strip that has it all. The McDonald was shocking. It had a display of old train set. But the small museum was awesome, The old jail and shops it was all just so fascinating. Then the food holy crap. When you are a 5 minute walk to the Mexican boarder the food just seems so insanely good. My mom and her cuz took us to this little hole in the wall spot in Mexico and had the most amazing food. Even if the stories of what the town looked like back in the day were massively gross. Then again this was a long time ago when before 9/11 wen all you needed was a state issue idea to cross the boarder. no passports, no EDL ids. It was so kewl. I miss all the traveling I used to do.
