So I just need to vent;
Not gunna lie to you guys, I'm a bit frustrated and a little upset that @jodieleigh 's and @aemeliajosie 's sets haven't made it to the front page. I just don't get it. They were "commissioned", have done really well in MR, and I'm genuinely really stoked with them. They're amazing women. I just don't get it. I understand the stats and the competition, but it doesn't mean that I'm any less frustrated.
I'm also getting a bit disheartened by the lack of girls wanting to work with me. I know I'm not shooting loads at the moment (wedding planning, helping my sister move and prepare to go back to Russia, along with Z's 1st birthday coming up), but I'm still staff and I'm still a hard worker! I have got sets planned with @mikaul and @aro this month :) But I think the biggest frustration, is that girls email me about shooting, we discuss it, in detail, all set to make a date and then nothing, or worse; "I've decided to take all you've said on board and work with someone else." Talk about slap in the face and burning bridges!
And finally the frustration of girls, deciding last minute, after the set is shot, prepped and waiting to be uploaded to decide to pull out of the process or just ignoring me. I understand that it's daunting and that it happens. But after all editing and hard work my end, it's really upsetting. Especially when the girl goes on to shoot more sets after...
a big fat SIGH.
But enough of that!
So, I'm sure a lot of you saw the little preview of the set I shot with @totem?! I cannot tell you how excited I am about this set. Seriously, she's gorgeous and so lovely, and her bf was such a good butler... I mean host! hahah! So keep your eyes peeled as it's nearly done! YAY!
I'm also turning 25 this month. I know numbers wise, that's not that many, but jebus I feel old. I mean in the last 6 years, I've got married, became an SG, went to art school, got divorced, got a degree, had a baby, and getting married again. Talk about streamlining life!
Aside to sets, I'm working on my Bad Fence "comics". The little bug eyes stick men you might have seen on my instagram or FB. Busy times.
Finally, Zooey is going to be a year old in just under 2 months. My god the time has flown by. She's crawling, nearly standing on her own and generally causing a ruckus. She is my world, and makes everyday a wonderful adventure. The birth wasn't easy, it ended with me having a blood transfusion and I will admit here, openly, that I have had PPD/PND, and working through it. But I tell you, she's worth it. Beyond worth it. Me and Jason are truly blessed.
So on that note, I'll love you and leave you, until the next blog!
