I went to Bay Path College today for their Open House. Brought my parents, cause they haven't seen the campus. We got there late, because they insisted that Open House means we can leisurely walk in whenever we want. However, things were on a schedule, and we found that out when we got there and had missed the first two parts to the open house. We got there just in time for lunch however, and got to hear some nice women talk. Free food is always nice. And I got a free gift...a travel mug that has the name of the college on it. Standard stuff.
I left my parents after that, and went to two classes, one for OT (Occupational Therapy), and Psychology. I'm interested in majoring in Psychology. However, in OT we got to make stress balls out of balloons and just about anything you can think of to go into a stress ball. I used rice and beans...seemed like a good combination.
Since we missed the tour in the morning, we got our own private tour guide at the end of the day. She showed us around, and then we met with admissions. It was a great day. This college is absolutely fucking perfect for me. Its a small private all girls school, where they treat you like people and not like numbers. Class size is usually about 17 students max. Its a tiny campus, where everything is easily accessible. There are hardly any fees pertaining to things on campus, because its all covered in tuition. Which is great, I think. But, this college isn't the most affordable college out there. Its one of the more expensive ones. I hope I get in, and then I hope I find some way to pay for it.
In other news, I went on a fantastic first date with an awesome girl on Friday. Her dad and I do musical theater together, and ever since he found out I was into women, he's been trying to set me up with his daughter. Its a bit weird, and I didn't think going on a date with her would be very successful, considering all my other dates with people I've been set up with never went so well. But, she's like, weirdly perfect for me. She's fucking gorgeous, which isn't necessary, but its a fantastic perk. She's quirky, funny, laid back, understanding, non judgmental, her baggage meshes with mine, she's a total nerd, and she's just fun to be around. We sat on the couch at her house, and watched movies, and just talked. It was the nicest date I've ever had. I didn't even try to make a move, cause I was having such a nice time, and I didn't want to ruin it. But at the end of the date, when she drove me home, she kissed me. I'm still glowing about that two days later. We have another date on Sunday. I think we're going to watch the L Word. I got her a Valentine's Day gift...even though I don't believe in the holiday.
