Hello SG Land, Merry Christmas! πβ¨
Today in this blog homework I've brought you a simple yet really delicious recipe, unfortunately I'm not a professional Confectioner and I don't really bake π I love cooking, but baking isn't my talent hahaha
During Christmas time when the family comes together I welcome them with those small Linzer rings, they are about a bite size and it's quite hard to ruin it during making.
Ingredients :
( in Hungary we use different measurement methods so I asked for help from Google to convert it, so if it's a little odd I'm sorry! )
β 30 dkg flour ~ 10,6 oz
β 20 dkg butter ~ 7 oz
β 1 egg yolk
β 10 dkg powdered sugar ~ 3,5 oz
β 1/2 lemon peel
β 1 egg
First step
To prepare the linzer ring, pour the flour into a bowl ( add the required amount ) add the butter and crumble it. Pour in the egg yolk, powdered sugar and grated lemon peel and knead with quick movements. Shape the dough into balls and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Second step
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out different shapes. Punch out the middle of the half with a small punch.
Third step
Place the molds in a baking tray lined with baking paper, brush the holes in the center with egg. Bake the Linzer rings in an oven preheated to 170 degrees for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. When baked, fill with jam or cream to taste.
