So the snow is beginning to thaw and the evil monkey assassins are getting restless knowing that now they can approach our defences without the fear of dissolving in the snow.
We had our first loss. This morning we found Sammy, one of our Squirral outpost guards, dead. He was part of the 55th Squirral Reconnaissance Group, formed to provide information on the Evil Monkey Assassins. We found him covered in monkey poo. We reckon it was a monkey marksman who managed to throw his poo 30ft to take out Sammy.
This was the first act of aggression in the siege and the Squirrals of the 55th Squirral Reconnaissance Group are itching for revenge and the cats are getting restless. But the monkeys are bidding their time, waiting in the dead ground just beyond our defences. We're hoping the formation of the 17th Fox Attack Unit will help our defences but there's trouble between the Foxes and Squirrals at the moment. I caught Larry the fox with a bushy tail sticking out his mouth yesterday, let's just say George the Squirral got a lucky escape.
Still we hold out. As the snow thaws we grow more desperate, praying for more snow at night...it's only a matter of time till the monkeys get us....
