Back from Atlanta. My face is still sunburned. This morning in the shower I peeled off my old face.
The NASCAR race was fun. We started Tailgating at 8:00 AM and I was buzzing pretty good by 10:00 AM. My buzzing might have helped with my poor judgement when I decided I didn't need any sunblock? At 8:00 AM it was 27 degrees! Freaking cold even for a Minnesotan if they aren't dressed right. We BBQd and walk around checking all the merchandice trailers. I believe NASCAR fans must purchase the most memorabilia out of all sports. Somehow hunting camo is proper attire also. Maybe next year I can do the NASCAR dress up? So it was 45 degrees when we finally made the march to our seats at 12:30 PM. At the time I said if I was feeling a sunburn I could just throw my hood over my head and hide a bit. It was cold! So we walk into the stadium and started to work our way up to our seats. I quickly realize there is a drastic temperature chance going on. Had to be 70 - 80 degrees in the south facing bleechers out of the wind. So there was no putting a hood on. I was quickly down to a long sleeve T-shirt. Then I really got into watching the race, so much so that I didn't want to take a time out and run to the truck for sunblock. The cars are very loud and you can feel it in your chest. I was learning there is a lot more then just a bunch of cars doing circles. I am not going to start watching Racing on TV much anytime soon. But I might study a bit so I understand who are teammates and I might even have a favorite driver for next year.
So in Atlanta actually Douglasville we stayed at a buddies house. A house he just built that is amazing. By far the nicest house I ever slept at. So Atlanta is treating my old roommate well. Having Turkeys and deer running around in the yard was cool also. We ate very good also. I think food is less money in Atlanta then Minneapolis?
Anyway sounds like this Atlanta motor speedway trip could be a yearly deal.
I bought tickets to see Morcheeba when they are in town.

He is a German/Flemish Giant Bunny named Herman and I love him! There is a whole breed of giant bunnies (they usually don't get that huge, but they're still way big for a bunny) called Flemish (or German) Giants.
