Took a hot shower this morning! Big deal in my world right now. Thursday night around midnight my old water heater started gushing water out the top of it. Luckily I was home... even more lucky that I woke up. I was so close to disregarding the noise and going back to sleep. Yesterday I spent the day installing a new water heater. Would have been done quicker, but I also cleaned the basement. Had a friend help carry the new one in and the old one out, otherwise it was all me. Turning into quite the handyman. I actually even helped a guy at the hardware store. He asked me if I did construction for a living. I don't, but I do engineer HVAC and plumbing, so I am dangerous. Anyway a code official had him doing a bunch of work to his Mothers house before he could sell it. I answered all his questions and pointed him to the stuff he needed and where it was in the store.
