So I spent weekend helping to roof my house, I am mostly the grunt when it comes to the rooing work. My insurance is paying for the new roof, so why would hurt myself working so hard? I had lined up a few of my friends who used to be roofers and now own a construction company before the hail damage. They were going to work for beer and I was going to trade labor. Now I will be paying them, plus their coworkers and probably trading labor later. We added insulation to an additions roof that has vaulted ceilings. It was a lot of work! Work I won't see if I sell the house, but it is the right thing to do. The addition is my favorite room in the house. It will be nice not hearing the rain as loud anymore. At times it was like being in a tent it was so loud. Crappy construction. The room should be even more comfortable and save me some energy money. Anyway we are 75% done and they are coming back Monday and Tuesday to finish. I have to go to work. I have a deadline on Thursday. They had a lull in their schedule and pushed to do it now even though I told them it was poor timing as far as my job goes. They do do excellent work and having me around may slow things down a bit in some ways? We had beautiful weather, not to hot for the most part.
Other news I am still reading Moby Dick. It is a difficult read for me. I just haven't become all that interested, but I won't pick up another book for pleasure until I finish! : )
