Hi!!! I had a lot of fun with the 40 Things! that @zen tagged me in! Plus, we have a set (FLUFFY) coming out in a week and I get to see her in about a week so I thought it was be fun to do another version questions for a lil blog!!! Here we go and feel free to use these if you want to friends!
1. When did you screw everything up, but no one ever found out it was you?
Damn... a tough one right off the bat, I honestly can't think of one right now, under all this pressure, but I'm sure I will after I post this... I would guess it has something to do with work.
2. What would you name your boat if you had one?
Probably after the Unicorn Beer Floaty I take to the hot springs with me; Sir Sparkles.
3. What will finally break the internet?
The apocalypse?
4. What celebrity would you rate as a perfect 10?
Eva Green or Idris Elba... like....
5. What fictional character would be the most boring to meet in real life?
Probably Eeyore; he's so cute but down I don't think I would enjoy hanging out with him and I would probably just ignore him.
6. What is the best and worst purchase you've ever made?
Easy! 2008, on my high school prom dress was my WORST purchase!!! It's beautiful and I just had to have it and still do actually, it's in my closet and still fits but it was way too expensive. I wanted the perfect dress for the perfect night with my boyfriend (who was a complete POS). He dumped me a week before prom so the dude I took instead popped a boner when we were dancing and I wasn't into it so I bailed with my friends to go drink and ditched the dress as soon as I got to the house. I probably wore it for 4 hours at the most? But, I redeemed myself in 2013 on a washer and dryer set which happens to be my BEST BEST BEST purchase, next to buying my bus and then my house. I say this because washers and dryers are fucking expensive; ours new were about $1,500 for the set and we got the set for about $500 (that's less money than my fucking prom dress)! If we ever meet, ask me about it! I love telling the story!
This is the dress... it fits so much better now than it did then and it's so beautiful...
7. If you had to change your name, what would your new name be, and why would you choose that name?
I always loved the name Lorna, apparently was one of the name options when I was born but my parents didn't choose it. I would probably go with Lorna if I had to change my name because apparently it's a scottish name and I would love to pay tribute to my scottish heritage :)
8. What's a body part you wouldn't mind losing?
Man this is pretty tough because I heart my body and need so many parts to function so maybe my tonsils?
9. What's your biggest screw up in the kitchen?
I'm honestly pretty great in the kitchen both at home and at work... but once, at work, I dropped a pea sized amount of cold pizza sauce on the apparently non tempered glass in the oven on the door in the middle of the dinner rush causing the oven glad to shatter. I stood there with my mouth agape for about 5 seconds before doing as much damage control as possible.
10. Who is the messiest person you know?
TBH, it me! Specifically when I get stressed out my world slips into chaos and usually my bad habits shine though!
11. What problem or situation did tv/movies make you think would be common, but when you grew up you found out wasn't?
Getting murdered, more specifically getting murdered in the woods.
12. What's something your brain tries to make you do and you have to will yourself not to do it?
We moved where the tooth brushes live, so every time I put my toothbrush back I have to kind of reroute my hand to put it in the right place
13. What is the dumbest way you've been injured?
After a cheerleading competition when I was like 10 or so, I was getting like poked or tickled by a friend and I threw my head down super fast and hit it on the edge of the chair I was sitting backwards on. I had to get 4 stitches in my eyebrow haha. Or I tripped playing jailbreak and broke my pinky.
14. If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what would you ask?
What my brother was thinking in his last moments.
15. What's the most interesting thing you've read this week?
The CEO of Patagonia is donating $10M they saved from the federal tax cuts to non-profit groups researching climate change and the environment.
16. What ridiculous thing has someone tricked you into doing or believing?
Drinking a boys pee in 6th grade, they tried to tell me it was booze, but it smelled like urine. I did not drink it!!
17. If you were given a one-minute ad slot during the super bowl that you couldn't sell, what would you fill it with?
hmmmm, if I couldn't sell the ad space I guess I would have to use it as an opportunity to promote my content? haha could you imagine someone actually promoting noodz during a one minute super bowl ad, not just using bobs to sell burgers or headphones.
18. What's the most useless talent you have?
Wow, I could go on for days, but the most useless talent would have to be getting really drunk and flashing bartenders for water when I feel like they're ignoring me.
19. What would be on the gag reel of your life?
Tons of photos of me looking the wrong direction, me walking into things, slipping at the least opportune times and probably most of my 20's.... and all the weird things I've been dared to eat over the years trying to prove my worth to dudes I've worked with in kitchens for 15 years.
20. What's the worst smelling place you've ever been?
There use to be a house behind where I worked and the original owners were hoarders with tons of cats. My bosses bought the property to try and fix up to put a coffee shop or bakery in. Once the pervious owners moved it we learned there hadn't been a toilet or running water in the home in 10+ years; they chose to remove it. So, on top of 20+years of hoarding, tons of cats and no physical toilet besides the hole in the bathroom floor... I'm sure you can only imagine how interesting the smell was. They ended up having to tear it down because it was packed with asbestos, but, on hot summer days you can still smell cat pee when the wind blows... yuck!
