Here are three things I can do and I think everyone should attempt to do at least once!!!!
1. Making food!!! The food I make at work vs. at home are extremely different but have similarities; the two seem to inspire each other. My work is fun I get to toss pizza while making people super happy, then I get to go home to create something entirely new or just filling the rice cooker up with rice, water and some veggies to steam. But making food is a must-have-skill that you can have fun developing with friends, family or create an experience with a new partner! (plus you can look badass at a dinner party doing this! but I'd recommend at least throwing a shirt on)
2. Love!! I know, this is probably so cliche, but seriously!!! Allowing yourself to love and be loved is the most amazing thing I've ever experienced in my adult life. I love my dogs so much I might legitimately have some kind of a problem. But how could you not love fuzzy-wuzzy little babies who sit in your lap while you sob and sniff at the latest Grey Anatomy? Or force you to get out of the house no matter how hot, cold or wet it is; and they fucking love it! Haha.. #LOVEDOGS
3. Self assessment! This one is relatively new for me because I've never really been great at it. BUT a couple years ago I started practicing AcroYoga (which is another thing you should totally try). My role in this yoga partnership is, usually, entrusting another person to balance me, the flyer, in their feet or hands while I'm doing some poses or we're creating movement by putting these poses together & calling it a 'washer machine!' So in acro it's super important for each of you to be comfortable and able to clearly communicate what you're doing, where you want to go and if you need to stop (self assessment). Since I started getting more and more into this practice I've found it translating into my everyday life which has been magical to realize! It also helped me dive more into things on the site! Jump out of my comfort zone and meet a bunch of babes/fellow hopefuls in Denver in March this year. I can't wait to see where this all takes me in the future!
Until then stay posted for more blogs! And please feel free to comment your thoughts and ideas! I love reading them all!
Cheers!
