Hi again!!
So I didn't quite make it back in a few days, but I did think about you guys lots! ^.^
I finished cosmetology school and got licensed in the Spring (is that supposed to be capitalized? It doesn't really look like it) so I'm on the hunt for a salon job. Here's the catch, though. My SO has a very traditional schedule (M-F, 7-4ish) and most salons now are open everyday until nearly 8-9! I'd love to find a place that is closed Sundays and Mondays and closes early some days of the week, but those are few and far in between and picky as hell.
Also, I'm secretly afraid I'm just not hair stylist material. I'm not particularly spunky or outgoing. I think I would've been much more suited to being an esthetician and working on people's skin quietly in the dark.
We shall see!
Yesterday, we made a (pretty much) final decision on our wedding venue!!! Yeee! (I think this blog is in danger of becoming my wedding blog, since nobody I know is on here so it won't spoil the surprise.) It's a bit untraditional, totally affordable, and BEST OF ALL- doesn't require a caterer!!!!
Delivery pizzas, here we come. Classy, of course. We'll rent some fancy schmancy flatware to pretty it up.
No more trying to hunt down caterers who will doing weddings for under 5,000!! (I'm not entirely convinced these exist in the Bay Area anyway.)
Things are looking good.
xoxo,

Have you considered a salon that caters to men only? They tend to have more regular hours (at least in Texas), and are closed on Sundays. I have no expereince in your profession, however, it would seem that men would be easier.
