Hi all!
So... two weeks later, and yup! Still sick. And now deaf. Like, seriously- barely functioning levels of hearing. Between you and me (yeah, all of you!), my hearing is pretty bad normally, thanks to some faulty genes. But when I get sick like this, it's like I'm underwater. I can see people's mouths moving, but a whisper of a sound is pretty much all I get.
Anyway, went to Costco today and stocked up on Delsym (still got that nasty cough) and behind-the-counter Sudaffed (because the regular stuff just doesn't cut it), so hopefully I feel better in a few days here.
Today I convinced my mom to come out and start a two-week free trial period at the Academy of Self Defense. We took a Krav Maga class, which ended up being a total blast! I'm way quiet and shy, so parts were pretty embarrassing for me, but everyone was super cool and friendly, and I got to feel sort of like a bad-ass for an hour! On the down side, I got major carpet burn, which stings like a mofo. Used some antibacterial Wet Ones though, so hopefully no staph for me! =.=
Ooh!! Happy Belated Chinese New Year to everyone!! It's always a little sad when people have to remind me that it's the new year. Seeing as I'm Chinese (okay okay, Taiwanese) and all.

Stick with the self-defense. Two-weeks is a waste of time but after half a year and more it turns into a permanent gain!
