Yes, I do know how to make everything on this list. There is literally a cookbook swimming around inside my brain.
My goal with this restaurant is to appeal to the resident ex-patriots and tourists who miss American comfort foods and Argentinians who want to try something completely different then what they would normally eat. There's no sense in competing with local chefs cooking well established regional dishes. I want to bring something different to the game.
I plan on doing a lot of themed nights. Mexican dishes on Cinco de Mayo and El Dia De La Muerte, traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, vegetarian nights, seafood nights, Sunday brunches, and Southern styled BBQs with fried chicken and all the fixins. I want to keep it fun, flavorful, and keep people coming back again and again, as well as recommending my place to their friends, families, and co-workers.
And with a bit of luck it will all work out.
