I was beginning to get very frustrated. Recently I wrote two really, what I thought were, amazing songs. And even though I have started running my own, very small, record label and could put them out myself I had been trying to send them off to various other, much bigger labels for release. After sending the demos off to 11 different labels this past month and getting no response at all from any of them I finally got them signed this morning to a label called Sirius Pandi in Belgium.
These two are the first tracks in a series I will be working on where I try to move away from loop based melodies. In techno everything is done in loops and I'm beginning to find that somewhat boring. Now if you give them a listen you'll be able to say, the bassline is still a loop, the drums for the most part are loops, but yeah, that's the core of the song and it kind of has to be. Every other sound is non linear, non repetitious. More interesting, more challenging, in my opinion.
minimal: impossible - Come Alive
minimal: impossible - Bs. As.
