yessss!
i don't know how to start journal entries.
anyway, this weekend I:
1. through sustained and disciplined effort, finished 2 12-packs of beer without getting drunk...
2. bought a dvd/cd-rw drive for my ibook so now i can watch my neil hamburger dvd, and make some mix cd's without transferring everything to my hated pc.
3. watched "winged migration" a nature documentary about- you guessed it- bird migration... so so rad. and especially great for a longtime pbs/nature documentary addict.... it's the first thing of that sort i have ever seen in the theater.... oh to live in a decent city where stuff like this might show up in theaters more than once in a lifetime....
4. traded in some of my old unplayed GC games for one which i used to have and then lost somehow.... well, i was drunk and angry and threw it into my kitchen and it disappeared. it's a fighting game where everyone gets to turn into critters. so i can be a penguin fighting a giant chameleon. weird stuff.
5. actually hung out with friends on both saturday and sunday, which is unheard of.
a fairly eventful weekend by my modest standards.
anyway, i'm listening to oval "94diskont" at the moment. i hauled my turntable into my computer room so i am delving once again into my vinyl collection.
i think i won't move to the NW next summer... i don't want to deal with the bad economy/looking for a job thing.... i want to move to missoula but there isn't too much of interest at the university there.... i could go to Madison or the twin cities... it's cold and the universities are good, but i *really* want to be in a place that's less of a city and more outdoorsy.... and mountainous... i just want to move somewhere beautiful, a place where i know i will be happy, and i will just deal with the school situation as necessary... whatever, as long as i'm not homeless and it's not here, i'll be fine.
twwly's new set made me feel all warm and fuzzy. new twwly and voltaire sets? all is right with the world... plus that sweet 17 inch powerbook in voltaire's set... they should give that a set of its own. i'll be getting my ogle on for sure...
