scylla's journal entry inspired me to post some of my rambling ideas about the nature of time and how it ties in with my ideas about god and consciousness. none of it is very funny. although, to some, probably marginally funnier than my postings on the boards... but you probably don't want to read it. just letting you know.
there is an infinity loop of the creation of the universe, the evolution and manifestation of universal consciousness, and the re-creation of the universe by this primal entity upon its transcendence of the laws of space and time. time and space are created by this being in order to fulfill itself, it creates the environment into which it is realized. so the universe and everything in it including linear time is a construct by which this being is manifesting itself. time is percieved as being variously linear or nonlinear depending on the point in the time loop of the observer.
the universal consciousness, the wellspring of all life, is divided, in our place in the time loop, into different beings which experience the universe in terms of linear time. we have this drive to become
more than we are, to understand more, to know each other... to become one with ourselves, each other, and the universe. through the pursuit
of this we will, at some point, lose our individual indentities and become a unified consciousness, with the ability to transcend the
bonds of linear time and space. so god is the eventual being that results from the unification of the consciousness of all life. god is all of us. and this searching need we have is the universal
consciouness of which we are a part, continually willing itself into existence... if i'm right, the fact that we are always searching for new things and are continually trying to improve upon ourselves means that, at some point in the future, it worked.
all life has become one, and, having transcended the illusory laws of space and time, that consciouness, which is us, is continually willing itself into existence through instilling in us a drive to evolve. which instills in me a sense of final optimism, that whatever happens in the history of the human race, the fact that we are driven to learn things, to evolve, shows that it worked, that the final consummation and unification of consciousness is a reality already, although not at our point in the time loop.
i tried, but it's not really possible to discuss this without using really circular explanations... which is appropriate i suppose... plus this is all edits so there is a lot of repetition and what not. i'm too tired to write it out again in a more organized way, not that i would be capable of such a thing anyway...
see, i told you it wasn't funny. next time- more jokes about trucker hats!
