The lip ring is no more. It's not worth the bullshit I was getting flung at me. I loved it though. I'll get it redone when I move out. Which hopefull will be soon.
NC was eventful... and not in a good way. Shortly after crossing the state line, I rear ended my sister's car with my mom's that I was driving. She and I were fine, and the cars still ran fine, but they were pretty smashed up. It was entirely my fault, and I'm now out $1,000 because there is a $500 deductible on each car. JOY.
After a day at her new place we went to check out the beach. She parked in a no-parking zone with about 5 large signs making it very clear her car would be towed if she parked there. I pointed them out, and she rolled her eyes and asked if I "really believed" someone would actually do anything about her car being there. I did, but we went to the beach anyway. Upon walking back to the car, we saw it being towed off, with our phones, wallets, and keys inside. I was furious, and she was angry at me for being furious. She went into a restaraunt and they were kind enough to let her use their phone and yellow pages to find a cab. We stood in the blazing sun for 20 minutes til the cab arrived. She paid $200 to get her car from the towing company.
For the rest of the week she and I were under each other's skin, except for a brief drunken trip to Wal-Mart at 11:30 at night to buy patio furniture. That was a blast. It was about the only fun part of the trip. The rest of the time was so miserable that we came back early. She said I ruined her trip, which is basically true, and I feel bad.
I had a lot of time to think on that 7 hour drive. But that will get an entry all its own.
