If you have any interest in the Goth scene, you've got the Asylum at Barcode Sunday nights. Barcode is in Arden Way across from the Arden Fair mall. Also you have Reverence once a month at Club 21 (the next one is June 27th), and Darkness also once a month at Old Ironsides (that's this coming Saturday).
Good dive bars are Benny's on Q Street between 20th and 21st, and Round Corner on 24th and S. Fox and Goose and Streets of London are British Pubs; Fox and Goose does awesome breakfasts and is veggie friendly, but get there early, as there is always a wait. It's totally worth waiting for! Streets of London is better for lunch/dinner. Or if you like gay bars there is a huge concentration of them on the corners of 20th and K. You have Faces (drag shows Sunday night) the Depot, Headhunters and a few others.
Other good food: Hamburger Patties on 17th and J, Miso on 16th and Broadway, Tres Hermans on K between 24th and 25th, Pieces pizza on 21st between N and Capitol (also veggie friendly)... I could go on forever. If you have an specific questions let me know! Oh yeah, if you need a hairstylist I still go to Stacey Tickner at Space 07 (R street between 14th and 15th) She's brilliant. For tattoos and piecing, Modern Body on I street between 20th and 21st is my number 1 choice. Alycia Harr and Steve Shippey are both amazing. I come up to Sacramento on a regular basis still, so if you wanna hang out, or are ever in the Bay Area, just drop me a line.
But I will read the fuck out of a comic book and drink some coffee/tea, I have a small but pretty kick ass collection if you want to see it or if you want to check out some of the shops. Also if you ask nicely and if you dig sushi, I can show you where the best sushi is round town.
