I started my first season of beekeeping last spring-I didn't get to collect any honey last year because they didn't do as well as I had hoped. THIS year is a different story though-they're doing really well and I'm super excited
I can't wait til harvest time-I'm ready to bottle honey and make candles and stuff...I may join etsy and sell some there-we'll see. I'm not afraid of stings anymore-I've only been stung once since I started beekeeping-and it was my mistake-I got it right on the tip of my nose...right before a date too! It didn't swell up though which is good-but it did hurt. Anyways-very very very excited!!!! I LOVE bees! ![](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/ph-508.604ed20cffa9.gif)
By the way-this picture is from last year...since then I've added another deep hive body and a honey super...so the hive is getting close to being my height!

That is a very unusual choice of hobby but I love that you're doing it! My favourite type of honey is creamed mixed with Cinnamon
Yummy!

That's so cool! Ever since I read the Secret Life of Bees a few years ago I've always wanted to try beekeeping.
