Went climbing yesterday at the Gunks, practiced leading. Leading is a bitch, I guess it didn't help that I tried to confine myself to placing nuts and hexes instead of cams. Figure if I get good and precise at placing passive pro than I can get fast and sloppy with the slcds later.
There was a crazy Korean family climbing next to me, and I mean family... They brought the entire extended family, it was like a clan gathering/backyard picnic. over two dozen people across three or four generations. About 6 of them climbed so that was cool, they were nuts though. On a 30 meter pitch they placed three pieces of pro, the first was at least 20' off the ground and the next another 25' or so beyond that, considering rope stretch and slack they would have decked out if they slipped. Good thing they were real strong and skilled, albeit stupid and crazy.
Forgot my camera so no pics of that climb and still have been lazy to pickup my ice diving pictures from my dive shop.
