Been fairly busy, the slushboarding last week was fun, put up a pic a friend took of me doing a jump, though it was not a great one... I landed on my shoulder hard one jump and tore some ligaments. Limited movement and weakness, but it's feeling better. Going to go back to Rock Climbing tomorrow to see how it feels.
I went hiking in Harriman park on Saturday, was lots of fun but there were a buttload of ticks out already. I did not think that the season had started, took 8 off of my pooch before they attached themselves. She's got Frontline on her so wasn't worried, but blood suckers are in my mind nasty business...
Went to Morimoto in Philly today. It was good, but the Chef's selection was very similar to the one in Nobu, which makes sense since Morimoto designed the Chef's selection both. Nobu was better IMHO, but then again the old adage don't get fish (not too big an issue because I'm sorta vegetarian) on a Sunday. It probably would have been better on a prime day when Morimoto himself was probably in the kitchen and all the food markets are open. Decor was great, but as with everything they have been one up'ed by more recent restraunts. Worth the visit.
Can't wait for some upcoming shows in NYC: Einsturzende Neubauten, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Pixies (well not in NYC but whatever), Death Cab for Cuties, Stereolab, lots of others. Cup runnith over.
Haven't had time to take pics, going to try to do a set for the SB group stealth mode, just slip it in and not announce it.... It would be a lot easier if I knew a photog with a place to shoot but I'll work it out.
Oh and I forgot, I farking hate switching to and from Daylight Savings.
