So...I'm heading to CHINA tomorrow for Spring Break. More specifically, Beijing. And all I can think is "thank god I am leaving this fucking country." But I am extremely excited, and will hopefully have many many pictures when I get back!
Unfortunately (as comes before many big trips) this week has been entirely stress. A summary of what has happened to me leading up to my leaving on Friday:
- In attempts of securing a place for me to live next year, my roomates and I completed many transactions (a.k.a. more money than I will ever touch again in my entire life), and put a deposit down on an apartment we wanted, with a backup plan ready if that didn't work out. In the time it took the realtor to come meet with us and pick up the check, BOTH apartments had been taken off the market.
I officially HATE city real estate. My address next year will now be:
1234 CARDBOARD BOX LANE
BEHIND KMART
- Also, I'm trying to land a summer internship in order to gain...some sort of credibility. I sent off my cover letter, resume, etc., and almost immediately got a response back asking if a phone interview was possible. I responded yes. Then I responded again, letting them know which times in the week worked for me before I left the country. Still, nothing. So my mind is on the freakout, wondering if something has gone terribly wrong. I hope not...I really need this.
Also, I have a midterm right before I jump on the bus to NY. For some reason, it is about 300 dollars cheaper to fly out of NY instead of Boston. So the 15-dollar Fung Wah it is!
Good times. Maybe I'll actually try and be active on SG when I get back...maybe another shoot in the spring.
