I'm so excited for the weekend!!!
Summer is finally here in Seattle! Yes, my friends, it's going up to 90F tomorrow!!! And it's pretty dry, so, as long as you're under the shade, it's all good - but I'm looking forward to getting some sun. I need a tan.
I must be one of the most insane people out there. I swear, it's my heart that makes me this way.
I adopted another kitty. She's about 4 years old, black, and came with the name Spook. She's really tiny (about 8 lbs) especially compared to Inky, who's close to 12 lbs and has long hair.
Why do I say I'm insane? Various reasons, but mainly it's because I'm allergic to cats. Well, I'm allergic to any animal with fur (from horses to mice). I figured, I had 2 before, what difference does it make? Inky needs a playmate. But my allergies have kicked in full force!!! It will take my body a few days to adjust to this new kitty.
Most importantly, Inky has not been very welcoming. He finally came around and saw her. But he's hissed and growled.
Spook is doing really well with my daughter, considering no one really knows where she came from, and was probably abused, if not just neglected.
She's under my daughter's bed now. I'm hoping he won't bother her at night. What really worries me is that he's got good strong teeth, but he is missing his claws (he was like that when I got him), while she's still has hers - she did scratch me a little when I touched her tummy - but I cannot hold it against her, since she recently got spayed, and cats tend to not like their bellies touched.
Wish me luck! The vet said they'll take her back if it doesn't work out, but I'd rather she have a forever home, as they say.
