I just got back from my grandma's funeral. It was alright. Fought back a few tears, but I didn't cry. My mom and brother (my brother was very, very close with her) held up, too. Most of her kids, grandkids, and her siblings were there. The only thing that sucked was the music. My grandma never liked music in the first place, and they played this horrible organ piece today, which was turned up way too loud.
She looked peaceful. Kinda like she was sleeping. Which makes sense I guess, seeing she passed away in her sleep.
I'm not sure what kind of music I want played at my funeral when I die. I'm kinda torn between The Posies (either "Everybody is a Fucking Liar" or "Limited Expressions"), Evergreen Terrace's version of "Mad World", or a couple of songs by BoySetsFire. I'll think about it a bit. Not that I'm dying anytime soon (or I'm not planning to anyway), but it's good to be prepared. What music would you want played at your funeral? Do you have anything in particular that you want at the funeral?
On another note, I got a new phone this weekend. My old phone started to crap out on me after 2.5 years. Not too bad I think, considering I use it extensively (mostly internet, email and IM, I hardly ever call ). The one on the left is my old phone, the one on the right new:
This one has a slide-out keyboard, rather than an on-screen one, so typing will be a whole lot easier. It also features GPS, WiFi and high speed mobile internet. Oh, and a 3 MP camera, which should be a lot better than the crappy 1.2 MP camera on my old phone (see the blurry pics and vids of Oz I posted a while ago for an example of how crappy it was ).
Tomorrow I'm going out to diner with my department from the university. Probably the last time, seeing I'm officially going to work at the hospital full-time at the end of the month. We're going to a restaurant in the centre of Amsterdam. I haven't eaten at this place yet, we'll see how the food is .

I don't even want to think about it, I have a fear of death anyway.
I do like the new phone. But I am kinda partial to cellphones anyway.
I meant to say something there...
