Woo, the weekend's here .
I had the day off yesterday, since I had an appointment with a contractor, and a
guy from the bank. First up was the contractor. What a fraud that was. He's
going to give me a more detailed quote, but his preliminary estimate was
35,000 ($ 50,000). For a mere 5-6 foot by 20 foot extension to my house! I
got a quote last year from a project developer for an entire new
floor (these 2 blocks are cookie cutter homes, they spread folders
door-to-door) that cost lest than that. Hell, I could rebuild my entire
house for about twice the cost of that extension. To top it off -after he
failed to show up at our original appointment-, I recieved a call a mere 30
minutes before our appointment, asking me to reschedule. That pissed me off,
too. Needless to say, this contractor is not getting any business from me in
this lifetime.
The guy from the bank had better news. The quote I recieved from him for a
new mortgage, had an ever lower intrest rate than I had anticipated. Almost
a full percent lower than my current mortgage! That means that, even with
the penalty I have to pay for paying off my old mortgage prematurely, I have
enough money for most of my plans, with only slightly higher monthly
payments than I have now. So I'm pleased with that . He'll make a second
appointment within the next 2 weeks, to seal the deal and set everything in
motion. Hopefully we can set an appointment with a notary to have everything
signed before this year is over.
Anyone feel like going to Ikea with me in a few months? I made a list of
things I'll need to buy there, for the kitchen, walk-in closet, floors and
the like, and it dawned on me that I might need a few more hands to help
push shopping carts .

I finally got to go to the Ikea out by me...what a nightmare, it was so incredibly packed, I could barely look at anything...I have yet to go back.
These withdrawls are sucking so badly, part of it is that I have been thinking about iot too much, and that isnt helping at all...it makes me feel nervous and depressed about not feeling "normal"....are you quitting cold turkey??...please be careful, I havent been doing it like that, I am trying to slowly reduce, so my withdralw arent all that bad, and im sure they arent, but it still is stressing me out.
