Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I'm hopelessly behind on blogs, I know. i'll try to catch up next week.
Work has been crazy the past few weeks, like it always is this time of year. But we're on the home stretch finally . Just some loose ends to tie up on Monday, then my boss should sign off on the annual report either Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning . That means I (and most of the department I'm sure) will take a well-deserved day off next week . I don't know how I'm gonna spend it, but sleeping sounds pretty good at the moment .
I could get used to the power my department has this time of year by the way . The annual report is the most important thing (after the patients of course) for this hospital each year, seeing it determins the money they get from the government for health care, the loans and conditions they can get from banks for investments and expansions, the amount of projects they get to do for pharmaceutical companies, etc. And we report directly to a commitee, that supercedes even the board of directors. So this time of year, basically everyone has to drop what they're doing if we need help or information from them for our audits. This year, we actually almost had a manager withdraw leave from someone from Accounting, because he didn't finish his part of the annual report yet before he was planning to go on vacation. Luckily for him, one of his co-workers was able to finish it, else we would have had the authority to cancel his leave (and thus preventing him from going on vacation). Yeah, we don't like doing that. But there's so much riding on this deadline. If we miss the deadline, it can cost the hospital a lot of money (fines, lost revenues), easily running into millions.
Anyway, that is my past few weeks in a nutshell. Basically work, work, and more work. I think I'll have some time this weekend to finally upload some pics from making cupcakes the other day . And I might make some more foo blogs next week, I have some ideas.
What are your plans this weekend?

Much of my Boggle prowess (such as it is ) probably comes from having read the dictionary when I was a kid. Well, that and I love anagrams.
Guitar Hero is the cat's ass. I think playing an instrument helps, but not as much as you'd think it would.
