READ ME!!

Nine years ago this day I was in my college dorm room and turned on the TV and saw the most horrific thing I had ever seen. I saw the towers burning. People risking their lives to save other lives, I knew my life had changed. The next day I joined the military and a week later I left school in search of a way of honoring those whose lives were affected by the actions of that day.

In my time spent in the Army I had the chance to meet so many good people willing to give their all to give back a little something to all those that had lost their lives, or lost loved ones that morning in 2001. I will forever on this day give praise to the great Americans that gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of freedom and more importantly in defense of the great Americans standing next to them while serving overseas.

I served in the military not because I agreed with the choices made by those who make the choices to send so many young men and women into harms way. I served for the chance to meet heroes and serve along side them and for the chance to pay tribute to the country I love. Choices were made to send us there, maybe they were right choices and maybe they werent but we did our job and we did it well. I saw many great men die that will forever be my brothers and for this I ask you all regardless of faith to just give a few words in prayer of the fathers, mother, sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters of those that never made it back from over seas and to those who gave and lost their lives nine years ago.

Me honoring some of the greatest men I have ever known and had the honor of calling friends.

Rest In Peace Brothers

William Shakespeare, 1599
