it's World of Warcraft jargon.
alt = a player's non-main or secondary character
ding = to level
so, i'm saying that my secondary character is about to attain level 50, which is pretty darn good. it means i'm about to be able to participate in end-game activities and start wearing the uber gear.
i'm a sad little gamer girl at heart. it's ok to poke fun at me.
my only defense is that Posh's alt just dinged 60, which makes her even more of a geek than me.
if you keep this up i'll just make you subscribe like the rest of us and i'll put you in my guild and i'll just run you around and show you these things. and then the rest of the world will fade in the tunnel vision that is World of Warcrack.
"end-game activities" = things to do when your character no longer gains xp. there is a level cap of 60 in the game currently (with the expansion in the fall it'll raise to 70). so you need to do things when you no longer care about leveling. and that's stuff like 20 and 40 man raids (big groups that get together to kill giant monsters that could otherwise not be killed by less people). there's also gear hunting, because we all need the best gear possible to make us uber. and high-level questing. stuff like that. i wish i was anywhere nearby you so i could show you around the WoW universe. how's the tour going?
