(from an upcoming set shot by @valo)
Hello my loves!
If you've been following my social media, you will know that I have been without a phone for almost 2 months, a phone that was my only source of internet and therefore I've been extremely inactive. Well, my iMac arrived today (hence how I can now write this much delayed and needed blog) and my phone is finally arriving tomorrow. So back to regular posting on all platforms from now on. Especially on here.
I'm trying to think how long it has been since I have posted a proper full length blog, and I can't really remember so lets start with my annual trip to Download Festival. This year was just as amazing as all the previous. The bands were incredible, many of my friends bands played and I saw so many faces I get to rarely see as well as visiting many bands from my teenage years all playing live at one gathering.
The Wednesday and Thursday, as per usual, were just full of carnival rides and drinking far too much for my own good. Friday is where it really began though. I drank margaritas and ate burritos (that was enough for me to say it was the best time ever tbh) and eventually got to meet up with my friend Tony and watch a bit of Rammstein before going to get drunk in the guest bar/club. Saturday was pretty much the same standard ritual but it was Sunday that was special for me. Another friend of mine and myself were side stage for Maiden (one of the greatest bands ever and a huge favourite since childhood)and it was just magical.
I always hate leaving and get the blues really bad, but hey, theres next year to look forward to:
Oh, since I forgot to say, I now have an awesome job (which I will be leaving soon for my dream job!) and I also have a lovely little kitty called Sprocket
Anyway, back to where we were. This year has of course been mostly touring for me like it always has been. I did the Dahlia tour again like I always do, Aiden etc again but then I finally got to see one friends two bands within the space of a couple of months. Municipal Waste at Download and then a few dates for Iron Reagan. Unfortunately I don't have photos as like previously mentioned; the broken phone.
Anyway I had such a blast and I can't wait until next time.
Since then it's been a lot of work but just last week we have the SGUK 2016 shootfest!
I love shootfest time and it's always so amazing. We stayed in a beautiful barn and my god! I have never liked any set so much but all 7 I shot were just amazing! I've lost a lot of weight recently and so my confidence was right up there and it really shows and I have to say, you guys are in for a treat. Apologies now because, well, brain fog through tiredness. But I will take everyone in the morning. Anywhoooo, here are a bunch of photos:
(From an upcoming set by @autumnsky)
I shot sets with @autumnsky @coolicio @r_girardi @valo @casca and @davebuxton and had the most amazing time shooting each one!
Safe to say I was extremely happy that there were pigs and goats as they're my two favourite animals. I made many new friends as well as getting to see many older ones and the whole time was just amazing.
A huge thank you to @felis @oddish and @disco for all of the planning and arranging and to anyone else that helped out. I apologise again for the brain fog but will update when I can remember who else and the attendees tomorrow morning.
Thank you to everyone who's actually read this. I will be updating my horror blog tomorrow too as well as thinking go what else I haven't included in this particular blog post. I love you guys and girls so so much!
Oh and thank you for all the love I received on my latest SOTD! I have another set out in just over a month and 2 weeks shot by the amazing @autumnsky
I can't wait for you all to see it!
P.S I am going to be making a Q&A form next blog so any questions you guys have, throw them my way!
P.P.S: It's my birthday 3 weeks as of today!!!!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful week/weekend!
