So, as promised and after the success of my last horror blog, I am going to be doing a regular horror blog do using on one sub-genre each time. This time; found footage. I did say I would post 15 but I found it hard to find 10 I loved. And I won't include ones I don't believe to deserve a watch
1. VHS
A movie compiled of smaller found footage tapes- all brilliant little stories. It has sequels but I think the first one was the one I needed to mention here
2. REC
A reporter and fire crew enter a quarantined building only to become closed inside with some tenants and those 'infected' (I won't spoil the twist)
3. REC 2
The 2nd instalment in the REC quadrilogy and this one is definitely one to watch. It's set in the same building/time as the first movie but from a different perspective
4. Cannibal Holocaust
A classic! This movie was actually banned for some time as many believed it to be real!
5. Troll Hunter
I know it's not technically a horror but it still is in some ways. It's such a good film and a very fun watch! A group of wanna be documentarians follow a man they believe to be hunting bears until he invites them along to see what he does... Hunts trolls
6. The Blair Witch Project
I obviously couldn't do a found footage list without including this one! For those who haven't seen it (and I'll be surprised if you haven't), it's about 3 people documenting the tale of the Blair witch when things start to get weird (and dangerous) whilst they're trapped in the woods
7. Cloverfeild
Again, I know it's not technically a horror but it does have a lot of monsters and a little gore so I'll let it in. This is actually one of my favourite films! I know a lot of people disagree but I just love it
8. Grave Encounters
A ghost hunting program investigates an old asylum. I know it sounds very cliche but believe me this is a ver, VERY good movie
9. Grave Encounters 2
This one is about a group of college students going to investigate the disappearances that occur in the first movie. It's not the same old same old, there's a very good twist and it does get a little weird but still very good
10. The Devil Inside
A young woman wants to investigate what happened to her mother so travels to Rome to find out more about her mothers incident, and the possession
I hope everyone enjoyed this list. I didn't want to just fill it full of Paranormal Activity/Sinister shitty ghost movies. I've tried to include a bit of everything and recommend movies that not everyone might of seen
