Hello my loves! Phew! It's been a while since my last proper blog update but having a lack of proper Internet, moving house (which I'm currently doing again) and a bunch of other crap happening in my life hasn't made for the best time to sit down and try to blog- especially since all I've had for Internet access is my phone. Anyway, now I'm back and boy, do I have a big, awesome, photo filled blog for you guys!
My year started with a bang. A week full of SG in jolly old London. I love London so much! And even more so when it comes to SG related things because it means I get to see all my favourite people (and this time met a hella lot of new faces too).
My first day in London was a great one that consisted of drinks with friends, going for food and eating too much avocado salad and then the SuicideGirls Geekology book signing at Forbidden Planet. I had such a blast meeting everyone even though I was so shy at first and thank you to everyone who came along! After the signing we went for a few group photos outside the shop and in London and then for drinks in this cool little underground bar (with ridiculous drinks prices, even for London) before heading home for the night (here's some photos, stilen from @del)
The next day me and @felis explored a little bit of Brixton in a desperate search for food and found this amazing little place called Honest Burgers where I had the tastiest fritter burger with rosemary salted fries and homemade lemonade and if I could eat that food everyday I would!
I loved Brixton, it was such a cool place to wander around. After food we went to the Natural History Museum, it's one of my favourite things to do in London. There's some amazing things in there
That night was the SuicideGirls Uprawr party, and FUCK! I've not had that much fun in a long time. I drank a lot, I danced a lot, and yet somehow spent hardly any money! I met some lovely people that night and had my first ever night bus experience- although it definitely was not as exciting as they made it seem in Harry Potter ;)
Friday was the day I finally got to visit Camden. I've been meaning to go and have a proper look around for some time now and it was great to finally be able to do so . It's probably the coolest place I've ever been to and I need to get back there ASAP. I finally got a photo of Camden Lock as well and it was lovely just sitting down by the canal. I stayed in an apartment in Camden with a few of my favourite people and after drinking in The Worlds End and then drinking a lot more back at said apartment, I was pretty drunk but had such an awesome night.
Finally, it was Saturday and time for the Blackheart Burlesque. Once again, we met so many more of you awesome guys and girls and was even lucky enough to help out in the show (along with the lovely @scribbles) doing my favourite past time job of being a stage hand. Although picking up costumes and watching Burlesque is so much better than moving leads and mopping up water spat everywhere by hardcore bands haha. I had the best view and the best time doing it so once again, thank you @sean, it was amazing.
The final day was Sunday, and what a sad day it was. I hate leaving everyone (I even cried on the underground, again). Even though sad, it was still a lovely day (regardless of the hours long train cancellations) and I got to visit platform 9 3/4 and the Harry Potter shop. Thank you to everyone who made London amazing, you guys are the best:
@felis @salliss @kili @delmantus @je5us @lucerne @snowy @holley @chibbi @skye @autumnsky @lusiouslemons @eave @aro and all the new faces I got to meet @scribbles @jessicalou @gemmaedwardsuk (finally properly met you) @liryc @shay @sunni @katherine @mel @disco @yvie @blu it was lovely to finally meet you all even if some were very briefly!
I'm so sorry if I've missed anyone else out but it's hard to remember every single persons names on here.
The next exciting thing I did was go and see my favourite band for the first time ever! I've loved Slipknot for 14 years and never managed to see them live but my god! They were fucking amazing! I got pretty tipsy, sang my heart out, loved it! Unfortunately I don't have any photos from said gig as my phone died :(
Shortly after this I got to see the beautiful @felis again for an evening of drunkness. I've also recently got back in to drawing again and even colouring in some pieces. Since I get asked quite often to post some, here :)
I also went to see another of my favourite bands recently, The Used. In the 11 years I've loved them ive only seen them a handful of times and they never disappoint. This of course was no exception. And I got kicked in the face; something that happens every time I go to Academy 3
And some random photos:
ALSO, don't forget I still have two sets in MR! If you haven't seen them yet, check them out!
With Me shot by Miro
