Okay, so I deleted my last blog entry on this topic (set by @missy and @rambo) as I actually thought of something I could 'confess'.
I'm quite obsessed with vampires. No, not the Stephanie Meyer sparkly ones or the 'sexy' ones we see on TV in such shows like True Blood (note: I haven't seen many episodes and I don't think I want to). No I mean the old stories of vampires I'd seen in movies and read in books when I was younger. Films like Nosferatu, and Fright Night stories like Dracula. These things fascinated my childhood and younger years. Things that my mom classed as 'goth' and disapproved of but which I was completely in love with.
I even looked in to becoming a Vampirologist (yes, it is a real thing) and used to spend a lot of time looking in to ancient tales and folklore of vampires in Greece, China, France and many more. I love how each tale differed but still stayed around the same lines, how it ranged from corpses and beautiful women to nothing more than mist and unseen entities.
Today I'm still totally in love and utterly obsessed with vampire movies and stories. I'm a huge horror fan (as many people know) and watch vampire films several times a day. I even want a couple of vampire themed tattoos (mostly movie based and quotes; nothing 'gothic' style though).
There's something so interesting about vampirism (just like with lycanthropy) and I don't think the lust for it will ever leave me.
Pray for daylight ;)
