So I have lived in FL now for almost 5 months, come the 21st of July, & I must say that I wouldn't ever go anywhere else again.
NIce thing is that I also live so close to GA that I could throw a rock at it. Anyways, I have been able to go sight seeign pretty often, when I have off from work (I am learning to be a Butcher!). Like visiting Jacksonville, Fernidina, St. Augustine, Amelia Island, Melbourne (Relatives Live There.), among a few places.
The weather never ceases to amaze me, as it tends to be sunny & rain without a cloud in sight. The heat is at times unbearable, but hey, that's FL in the summer months. But the fresh air & southern hospitality is very welcoming.
I was lucky enough to make it down here with friends that I knew from back in NY & we have set up a nice set-up down here. A place hidden from the towns & law, so we've been able to build our fire pit & let that girl burn high! Although, the trains, the trains are an annoyance, but you get used to those.
So all in all, I have to say that this "Damn Yankee" (Yankees Visit, Damn Yankees Stay) is content & happy with my situation & I wouldn't change it for the world.
And now for a few photos I've taken since I've been lucky enough to take this new chapter in my life..
St. Augustine had an Awesome Ship chilling in the Harbor
A sign that I found to be very creative, so I took a shot of it
Well, I have a lot more photos, but i have to sort through them before I post anymore. So thank you SG for everyhting, I enjoy this site very much & I hope you keep it going. Mikano Out!
