Due to some unexplainable alignment of the stars and the Earth's rotation (or perhaps the Vernal Equinox), I've been dealing with an extreme amount of creative energy. This is good, because I haven't written anything meaningful in several months. That is bad, as I used to be quite prolific, at least one song a week.
It helps getting drunk and improvising to confused and embarrased friends over AIM and yahoo....or alone on a Saturday which should have been with friends in Kalamazoo. I wanted to go, but I was called back into the ether, and it's been way too long since I've been productive. Such is the life of the artist.
Hopefully by September I'll have a record out to show for it. Maybe even some shows lined up.
Anyway, I've been lately trying to figure out the logistics of opening up a virtual coffee shop.. A bricks and morter real venue with the ability to stream audio and video real time. Have bands play and webcast at the same time. I think that might be a cool thing!! Have it free, of course, with sponsors, or a monthly charge for no commericals. Wouldn't have to be a big place at all... just eonugh space for a band and some coffee machines, seating, and the best herbal teas in the Midwest (so Pihka would visit, too, if she comes to town.)
Would you hang out there?
