My Saturday was fun, but schitzophrenic.
We had a lazy morning, then left for Orange County around 2. After a quick stop at the car wash, we headed to Knott's Berry Farm. Not for the rides, but for the Country Chicken Dinner. Omigawd, SO yummy! Biscuits, creamy chicken soup (the best ever), salad, corn, a huge amount of chicken, mashed tatoes, and pie, all for like $13.00.
We were gonna go to Disneyland, but decided we were tired (yes, we drove all the way out there for chicken), so we headed back home, stopping at the Glendale Galleria for 45 minutes of shopping. We decided to head back home because we were full and sleepy, but on the way there we heard that the Psychadelic Furs were playing at the Viper Room, so we turned around and headed out to Hollywood. It was a "first come, first serve" deal, and after waiting in the cold for an hour, we were bored and a little pissed that we had gotten ourselves into a "velvet rope" situation. So we packed up and headed further down the strip to the Virgin Megastore, did a bit of shopping, had a late dinner at Wolfgang Puck, and then saw "Monster" at midnight. It was pretty good - the makeup they did on Charlize Theron was AMAZING, but ultimately it was a chick flick. As I told Insaniac, "Too much kissing, not enough killing!!"
