I miss figure skating. A lot. The last couple weekends they have been airing a lot of qualifying competitions for worlds, and I realized just how much I miss it (I also realized what a geek I was when one of the men's skaters redesigned his blades so that he could actually skate on his heels - and I thought that was the coolest thing ever). I was a competitive skater for 6 years or so, then I stopped because I reached a point where I either had to scale it back to recreational skating or drop out of school and go hard-core competitive (which I couldn't do anyway because my body was too curvy by then).
I wanted to get back into it, but it is so hard. My coach has semi-retired from skating, and I would have to start getting up at 4am to go to practice before work (I used to do that before school and it wasn't pretty). I think I might start taking ballet classes again - that as close as you can get to ice skating but it is a little more accessible (and a LOT cheaper).

Actually I think I feel better now. I think it is all the junk from yesterday. I had pancakes for breakfast and junk food for lunch and dinner. Awww man, it just sounds worse when I type it out.
