Well it has been awhile since I wrote anything meaningful here; guess I have been busy with staring at my textbooks, considering my future, dreaming of being in a relationship, not being depressed, and other assorted items...
I did finally get to watch my copy of an inconvenient truth, which I bought when it came out but never had time to watch. Not a bad movie, I understand why it became so popular. I like the fact that it was not preachy, but once again it does make me think about not only my future, but of my goddaughters future and her kids future. What are we leaving them?
We use up natural resources like deep fried food at a buffet, when it comes to our trash - out of sight out of mind is the mantra, and we believe the stupidest things just to avoid the issue for example there is no such thing as clean coal, it is cleaner then before but that is like removing a bin a trash from a landfill, sure there is less trash now but it is still a landfill full of trash. Even the idea of landfills is lame; we are the only species on the planet that has these things. The way we deal with our trash reminds me of when I was a kid and pushed everything under my bed when mom made me clean my room, out of sight out of mind...again.
What we are doing to our world and all the occupants, including ourselves, is crazy. This little sphere that we live on is all that we got, we are the boy in the bubble, and at the rate we are going...someone is going to drown in all our waste.
