STARBUCKS!
(I wonder if I need that little trademark symbol behind it)
The answer is Starbucks!
Um...no, I'm not all hopped up on the stuff at the moment...let me explain.
So I'm doing the whole online job search thing, trying to figure out what to do with myself when I run across the fact that the makers of cafinated wonderfulness are looking for store managers in the Philadelphia area.
They require...
1) A background in retail with increasing responsibility.
...been there! In the days before my casino job, I was an assistant manager at more then one place, including food retail. I've done the whole open/close, settling registers, scheduling employees thing.
2) Supervisory background.
...done that! In fact, currently doing that.
And if I want to bust my ass and climb the corporate ladder (which I'm inclined to do), they're headquartered in Seattle, the place I was looking to move to in the first place.
Hmmmm...this has potential, but it's late...I'm marking that ad and checking it after work tomorrow when I'm more coherent.
**UPDATE** The site is being a real pain in the ass about getting my resume posted and such. I miss walking in to talk to someone, resume in hand. Fighting my way through a little more each night after work, and I'm going to try to talk to the local Starbucks store manager on thursday when I'm off.
