Thanks to everyone who was concerned... I'm feeling a bit better.

I'm glad Rob was there, and I think him meeting the extended family in such circumstances was better for him in a way. They all had their guard down, tired from the funeral, trying to entertain and maintain good spirits, everyone was a little more welcoming of a stranger.

I think the promise of things to come made my mom a little happier. She, at least, seemed excited to see the new sparkly and share the news with family.... despite some of them being jerks about it, but what is to be expected? It's gone, again, this time until after April. It was only a temporary restoration of placement on my finger for the family event.



Happily, all my plants have sprouted.
