I was thinking about a class I took in school, it was about core self evaluations. Basically those tests people take when applying for jobs. The specific test I'm thinking about is the "Neutral Objects Satisfaction Questionnaire". The idea behind this test is to weed out the people who are pessimistic and will probably not be satisfied with their job.
Basically the test consists of 25 items and a person rates their level of satisfaction with those items. The logic is a person who is dissatisfied with 8 1/2 x 11 paper is probably not going to be happy with anything.
This was the greatest little gem I got out of that class because since then, I really have taken people way less seriously. My brother is the kind of guy who would not be happy with most of the things on the list. It is way easier to not take someone seriously when you realize they aren't even satisfied with paper
The quizz is here by the way, in case anyone is interested. I'm overall pretty satisfied
