Yay, I finally got my computer back from the shop. This is the 3'd power supply this year and the second motherboard. I bet that shop is really tired of me. The computer is still under warranty. I have a HUGE Belkin UPS that in theory I think regulates the power the thing gets, so it must be me. It always runs really hot too, despite having added a couple hundred bucks worth of fans and some crazy radial liquid cooled thing on the processor. It still enjoys operating at over 120 degrees, with Outlook and 3 Explorer windows open doing nothing, in a house that is kept around 73 degrees. WTF? I swear, it is me, I have a proximity crashing problem. Earlier in the week it decided to creep up to about 129 degrees and then POOF! No PC all week. It sucks because I run my sewing machines off of it as well, so no sewing or computing all week. What IS a girl to do.
I watched more TV than usual and decided to get rid of a bunch of stuff, including my furniture which I decided I was sick of the sight of. So I hauled it all into my yard and will be starting my second yard sale day in a couple of hours. Tons of stuff sold yesterday and I didn't even have a sign up. Of course, as with all rash decisions, my plan is not really very well thought out, I have absolutely no clue about new furniture, or even how to pay for it (I hate financing stuff), but that's ok, nature hates a void, so one way or another, I'll have new stuff soon enough I guess, right now the house looks a little empty and pathetic, but in the end, I hope it will look beautiful and the new stuff will be wonderfully comfortable and just what I want.
On another note, and I KNOW you all want to hear this........
My toilet sucks. We live in the desert, so I have a low flow toilet, which does not flush like I think it should unless you hold the lever down for the entirety of the flush. Because it is annoying and takes time, and I live with all male roommates and my son, I don't think the boys in the house, impatient and used to a quick shake off and tuck, hold that lever down long enough. They don't have any paper to make sure goes away, so I really think they just don't notice that they are leaving a lot of urine behind. The thing is GROSS. The toilet was brown, a gross dark yellowish brown, no matter how much toilet cleaner I poured into it, no matter what it was not getting clean. I finally turned the water off and scooped all of the water out and dried it out. It turned out the brown was like a mineral deposit or something. it wasn't even smooth like the porcelain, it was rough and weird. No wonder it wouldn't get clean!! I took a pumice stone to it, and that was fun for about 3 seconds before I made a hole in my gloves and gave up. So for the last few months I've had the brown toilet of doom. A source of embarrassment and disgust for me.
I use this "Lemi Shine" product in my dishwasher. It rocks when my dishwasher has a moment and decides it is a good time to leave this thick coating of cloudy white shit ALL over my dishes. I also found if I pour a little baking soda down the disposer and then pour a tablespoon of the Lemi Shine in there it makes amazing foam and freshens the disposer without having the nasty vinegar smell. It takes all the foulness away with it too, does a great job. So I thought about it and decided to try that in my toilet, I had tried CLR, some commercial toilet cleaner and every other brand out there. I poured about 1/4 bottle of the Lemi Shine crystals into the toilet and put a use the other bathroom sign on it and let it sit for about 2 hours. It was amazing, I have a shiny white commode again!!! I totally dig that stuff. It pisses me off that only a few places carry it. EVERYONE should carry it!
Yes, this is what happens when one is without a computer for a week.
God I'm a dork.

I have a lot of financial problems right now, most of my furniture is pretty old, it's hard for me to even buy art supplies right now, I need to get some big roles of paper for my printer so I can do some photo shows, I don't think any one would by any of my furniture.
That is pretty gross, did you try some industrial cleaner that has acid in it?
I've never heard of lemi shine, I will have to see if they have that in Lexington, it must be great.
