"This too shall pass" she said, "People usually say this about the bad times ,but it's also about the good times." I was out playing pool last night with a friend and that phrase kept flashing through my mind, "This too shall pass" and we play our game and she flirts and i flirt back but nothing ever happens because thats part of the game too. A couple of games and a couple of beers later, I hear Creedance Clearwater Revival on the jukebox and it makes me smile a sad little smile. Reminds me of stories i would hear from my uncles about my father and of campfires and coors light and a thousand other things that don't seems as real anymore. I am my fathers son, but will i ever really live up to the man they remember? It was 20 years ago this month that i had to grow up over night. A little boy no longer. Then the song is over and its my turn to shoot . I sank the nine and stopped thinking about things that couldn't be changed.
