Hey SG Land,
It's been a while...I'm so happy to be writing this blog!
It's been a long four months away and so much has happened since my last check-in. Sorry for being away, I had good reason! For those who don't know...Midnight is 7 months pregnant, 30 weeks to be exact.
I am SO heckin excited for this next journey in life my goodness. Many of you don't know but I have been trying to be a mama for what feels like forever and it's been a long road to this point but we're so very grateful for our little bundle of joy.
Two weeks ago we took a 'Babymoon' to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco where I spent much of the 11 days eating and being a total beach bum (no shame).
It was in the low 80s the entire trip and the sun felt ohhh so good. We left during the polar freeze that blanketed much of the US so we definitely felt like snowbirds in the tropical conditions hehe....
After a few days there I felt so special to have the amazing goddess that is @penny come and stay with us!! It is such a heartwarming to feeling to reflect over all the beautiful friendships I've made on this site over the years and she is no exception!!
@penny is kind, caring, generous, full of positive vibes and seriously hardworking! I am always impressed with this woman. When the opportunity came to invite her to Mexico and have her shoot our maternity photos I *jumped* at the idea. She is such a caretaker it was especially nice being able to see to it that she felt taken care of for once on this trip<3
I am so happy with all the images we got...can't wait to share them with you and our family/friends. These are a few iPhone shots we got in a similar location so you have an idea of what we're working with ;)
It wouldn't be a Midnight trip ifI didn't include all the yummy things I ate right?! Hahaha... oh you know I smashed!! I always do ;)
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day by far...I indulged on eggs, starch, cheese, red meat and well ya know, all the other necessary food groups haha
It's not unusual to have 2 courses for breakfast is it? I ordered waffles like everyday I was there you guys...and gosh dang it they were amazing!!!
Some days I opted for a lighter breakfast. The fruit there is always so fresh I felt like a princess each morning...
I really spent each day just lounging, eating, staying hydrated and applying sunblock haha...not a bad existence right?
I got tired of eating friend shrimp etc so I switched it up mid-trip to some healthier options for baby. Fresh squeezed orange juice hit the spot so good on the beach!
I fall in love more and more with Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco each visit. The next home we buy will definitely be in this small slice of paradise if we are fortunate enough!
For now I will focus on the priorities hand...like preparing for this little human we are very excited to meet<3
That's about it! Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed the pics ;-)
Xoxo,
Midnight<3
