Hey Gang,
I recently was in Mexico for 10 days and wow what an amazing time I had!!
I traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco to spend 10 days split between two resorts. I have been to Mexico maybe 5x prior...I'm hooked on Puerto Vallarta. It's just low-key enough while still offering party spots if that's your thing.
The first few days we stayed at the Westin in a suite room with a private balcony that made for perfect sunny pics every morning.
I had a lot of fun with snapchat every morning. Within minutes of taking pics I was a sweaty baby haha but had fun none the less!
This is definitely my favorite SG tank ;) makes for perfect cleavage and sideboob shots!
When I wasn't posing up a storm on the balcony I was busy taking in the beautiful views!
And the jacuzzi was the perfect way to unwind after a long day of swimming and beach...
Aside from the room the Westin had a beautiful beach area. My daily routine moved from room, to pool, to sunbathing
Can you blame me? We went for the Thanksgiving holiday so I left Chicago when it was just getting cold...for some serious daily heat and vitamin D
Okay now, I wouldn't be *me* if I didn't show you all the bomb food I was eating...aside from the heat, food was the main thing I was looking forward to ;)
Okay okay who am I kidding?! Y'all know me too well....food was the number ONE thing I was looking forward to haha. Food in Mexico, okay food anywhere outside of the US, simply TASTES BETTER!!
I had as many tacos as my heart could desire, this grilled lobster was fire one night, and breakfast holy goodness...I think I ate pancakes/waffles and omlets nearly everyday...swoon!
My tummy was living its best life. I think it says a lot about the food we often consume as Americans. Without trying, I always seem to lean out when I travel overseas. This is likely due to the increase in eating only whole (real) foods, and a sharp decrease in processed crap. I don't think I had anything out of a package the entire time I was there...
Okay enough about my stomach contents hehe....culture! I made sure to hit up several local markets while there. They have vendors with anything you can think of. Some of the things I bought were jewelry, hand made hair clips, elote, Mexican ice cream (more like a tart not really cream), shoes, clothes, fresh fruit and cards for family.
Mostly it's always nice walking around and just looking at stuff. I'd say my eyes were just as happy as my tummy...
Ohhh and my favorite snag that came home. Check out my new shoes!! Yellow converse with hand sewn custom flowers. I'm obsessed.
After a few nights we switched hotels over to the Mariott and hubs had rented the most magical suite for us. So beautiful this one also had a jacuzzi and a private balcony.
You know I made the best of every selfie/photo op on this one too...
Checkout these amazing views...we were so blessed to have sunny days everyday of our trip
This wasn't just a selfie trip tho haha though my camera might beg to differ ;) We were there celebrating our 11year anniversary together. Yep. I met my husband when we were 19 and we've been on a magical ride ever since.
The staff were so good to us and brought us these goodies to celebrate. There are little things in life more important to me than saying that I've been happy with my best friend by my side for all these years.
It was an extra special Thanksgiving as we reflected on the many many things we both have to be thankful for. I made a fun little 10 picture post to my IG. In case you're wanting some more visual proof of this glow-up adventure over the past 11years check there ;)
Okay I think that about sums it up! Mexico is amazing. Truly. If you're looking for somewhere less populated than the usual places of Cabo or Cancun I highly suggest you check out Puerto Vallarta!
Bonus: PV is a more liberal city with a high population of LGBTQ+ people. Very welcoming and inclusive there.
It's winter in Chicago so I'll close with 2 more pics of what I wish I were doing now: being a beach bum! Hehe...thanks for letting me share. Peep my profile for the nudes from this trip. Happy New Year loves, I hope 2020 brings you prosperity, good health and love<3
Xoxo,
Midnight
