Covered in paint at the moment. Listening to The Tindersticks Simple Pleasure album which matches the day here.. rain again.
Have got round to putting up some photos. Will have to have a dig around for some more interesting ones.
Looking forward to Friday.. get to see my family for the annual family trip to the Greenbelt Festival in Cheltenham. Some good old family traditions never die and this is one of them .. weird really as each year there is less and less that I want to see or hear.. but being with family is good. Also Iain Archer is playing so am looking forward to seeing him. And Pedro the Lion were supposed to be playing.. fingers crossed they turn up. Best memories of last years.. Peter Case late night set, he is always awesome... I think I will put on his first album this afternoon while painting.. now that is one great album... also Rosie Thomas was good last year .. took me by surprise a little bit.. great voice and when she sings.. "I play music thats what I do.. and when I do I lose myself.." brilliant.
Off to the dentist shortly, not looking forward to it. This visit is for treatment, a filling. Hadn't been for 18 months when I went for my check up so serves me right.. although they cancelled on me twice so i blame them for the gap in attendance.
Bought some records yesterday.. all vinyl of course..
Turpentine Brothers
The Editors
The Locust
Sufjan Stevens new one
Part Chimp
Thee Headcoatees (Girlsville.. luv ya Holly)
Lion Fever
and last but not least..
Matson Jones - now this was a great purchase.. awesome album on my favourite record label.. Sympathy for the Record Industry..
Must stop spending all hard earned cash on records, I can't seem to visit a record store without spending 50 quid. A friend of mine was amazed the other day to find out that I have no savings... I tried to explain that I have a cash intensive lifestyle what with records, football and having a good time on top of car and mortgage.. he wasn't convinced. Anyway in some ways you could view my records as an investment...
Right that is all for today.
bye
